Wrens nesting in kids playhouse!!

The house that the wren built!

A couple of days ago whilst watching our kids playing in the garden, we noticed a lot of activity in the playhouse at the top of the garden.

We watched closely and realized that a wren was making very regular trips to and from the playhouse.

Bearing in mind our kids continued to play in the garden to say that these birds are tolerant of humans is an understatement.

In no time at all this busy little couple had made their home in our garden here in East Yorkshire England!!

I'm sure you`ll agree from the pics it looks a little precarious!!

The kids are now under strict instructions not to disturb, but still they are very excited about this visitor to their playhouse!!!

So now we are watching with bated breath for hopefully a good outcome. We will post more pics when the little un`s arrive!
