Wren In Flower Pot

by MARY GAIL
(BIRMINGHAM, AL )

My granddaughter found 4 beautiful, tiny birds in a flower pot we had put in a wire basket about 5 feet high on our back porch wall.

They are just born in the last day or two, no feathers, but really big mouths!

Mother is busy feeding them, flying around, scolding us and the cat, and trying to figure out why we are sitting in her home!

Claire was surprised that the mother bird let her take down the flower pot and look at the babies while she was away.

She watched from the fence, and fussed.
