Wren In Bedroom Window

My friend and I found a wren nest in his bedroom window, in the corner of the ledge, between the glass and the screen.

It turned out that the bird could get in and out because the top of the screen on the outside wasn't all the way up.

We named the bird Chictor (short for Chictoria) and started observing her several times a day.

I don't think Chictor likes that because she (or he?) always flies off when she sees us, lands on a nearby tree or fence, and begins making an angry buzzing type sound at us, which we've decided must be her warning call to scare off intruders.

She will make that noise for a long time before trying to come back to the nest.

We'd really like to befriend her but have no idea how! We'd like to leave her in the window but I think it may be stressful for her, having us around all the time.

If only there was some way to show her that we're harmless...

Sometimes we can watch her without her noticing though, which is really neat. I've watched her eat and bug and I've also seen her come into the window and poke her head all around (presumably looking for us) for a minute or so before finally settling into her nest.

She seems to be gone at night, which makes me wonder if wrens are nocturnal. I haven't been able to find any information on this one way or another yet.
