Robins nesting next to Doves

Two mourning doves made a nest on top of my air conditioner. It was fascinating watching the pair build the nest. After the eggs were laid they took turns sitting on the nest

About a week after the nesting began I observed a robin begin to build a nest about two feet away from the dove on top of the same air conditioner.

The dove doesn't seem to be disturbed by the robin activity. The robin right now is diligent in building the nest. I am looking forward to when there are two sets of babies on top of the air conditioner.

How to get rid of pesky Robins.

Robins have build a nest under my neighbor's deck. Every time I leave the house to sit on our deck or go to the garage, I'm attacked by the Robins, dive bombing my head. I've resorted to carrying a broom with me for protection. I'm afraid the final outcome of this conflict will be a dead robin. Any other way to get the robin from attacking me?

Sad ending to Robins nesting next to Doves

This is a continuation to my story of the Robins nesting next to the Doves. The Doves patiently sat on the egg (s) until it hatched. I viewed feeding from the mother to the hatchling. It was after the egg hatched that the Dove would periodically leave the nest. Sometimes both would return and one would sit on the hatchling.
One day when the Doves were away from the nest, the hatchling fell out of the nest which was on top of my air conditioner. I was not aware of this. I went on the patio to sit with my schnauzer. My dog went underneath the air conditioner and had the hatchling in her mouth. I ordered her to drop it but it was too late. Sadly, I had to dispose of the hatchling. I saw the two Doves return to the nest and also went underneath the nest where the hatchling had fallen. They did this about three times. It was very sad. Now the Robin is on top of the air conditioner alone. I enjoy watching the birds but am saddened by this ending.

Try and get some pictures of them both. Apretty unusual sight for sure.. How sweet. Hope all turns out well.
