Over protective parents

I have been blessed with a family of robins that have made a home on the top of our porch light. I have been curious to look into the nest but was afraid that the guards would attack me. Mr. and Mrs. Robin both perch on the porch banister and scold and curse at anyones presence. On several occasions Mrs. Robin has flown into the door screen which is very scary as it appears she is aiming towards my eyes. If anyone remembers the movie "the birds" Scary.

Our family has been banned from the balcony and Mr. and Mrs. Robin maintain vigilance over the nest and their brood. It is exiting though to see how responsible and diligent they are in caring and nurturing their babies. They both take turns searching for earth worms and returning to the nest to feed their babies. I am hoping to catch them with the camera without losing my eyeballs to their attack.

I consider myself lucky to have been chosen to be a part of their family despite their clear message of wanting absolute privacy.

I logged on to try to find out how much longer I need to restrict the use of my deck and lo and behold I find you. It is actually a great place because it is dry. I am alittle worried about other bigger birds because it is sort of out in the open. I live in central new jersey. Our eggs have not hatched yet but I expect them too any minute. No bird has attacked us yet. It is a big deck so we moved the grill to the side and I have been using it. In alittle while I need to go out there. I will let you know how it works out
