Mourning Doves Nesting in Lg Bush in Backyard Update

Hello bird lovers!
Thought I'd let you all know an update on the Mourning Doves. The Mama is diligently sitting on her nest. I went to the store and bought black sunflower seeds which contain vitamins and minerals.
I spread them about on the ground and guess what I saw - a pair of male and female Northern Cardinals, a pair of House Finches and a bunch of Grackles. The Northern Cardinals amazed me so much since they kept kissing each other!!! Never saw this!!
I'm so very excited to witness all this beauty. I've left water out for the birds and I hope the Mourning Doves eat the seeds I left for them.
I would like to thank you all for responding to my article. It's nice to know that there are nature lovers out there that can relate to the joy I feel in my new venture. Lots of love to all of you.
