In The Barbeque!

by Michelle
(Ontario)

Well we live in Sarnia Ontario and have had some very persistent robins.

First I noticed a lot of long pieces of old straw and grass on the blades of a fan we have in our covered deck, when I took a closer look it was Mr Robin gathering for his nest.

We shooed him off and left the fan on for a few days to deter him.

A few days ago we found an empty nest in the corner of our rain gutter on the house. That seemed a better choice...

There were still a couple constantly in the back and I wasn't sure where they had nested. Tonight I was closing a window and saw something blue!

When I looked again I found a nice nest with 2 beautiful blue eggs in th DRIP PAN OF MY BBQ!

Well I haven't seen the birds in it all evening and I did BBQ 4 days ago so I don't think the chances are very good for those eggs, but I'll give it a day or two before we remove it.
