Housecleaning Wren

by Linda
(Sister Bay, WI)

A house wren is cleaning out debris from a used birdhouse.

Bit by bit the remains of an old nest and an old wasp nest is being removed from the little house.

The wren flies to the house, enters, and then "spits" out pieces of debris from inside the house.

The wren has been at this activity off and on for the past several days. We assume a nest will be built once the house meets with the wren's approval.
