Happy Reunion

His eye is on the sparrow! While walking my dogs at a nearby school I came across a small sparrow. Apparently the nest had been under siege from some large ravens. The little bird seemed to be the only survivor and he was hungry and scared.
So I picked up the bird and brought it home. I knew I needed to feed it something soon. I went to Walmart to get some worms in their sporting section.
I did in the worm and added water so it would go in an eye dropper. I put the little bird in a shoebox with a towel to keep it warm and fed it small amounts for several hours. I checked a few times through the night and it seemed content sleeping in its substitute nest.
I knew a substitute nest and food would probably not help the bird survive too long. I got on this website and found the best thing is to put it back in the wild.
So the next morning I took a very small wicker basket filled with cotton balls and placed it in a high bush near where I had found it the day before.
I watched for an hour, from a distance, to see if the mama bird might still be looking for it. I looked inside the basket and the bird starting chirping, loudly.
So I took my distance again and said a little prayer. Within five minutes the bird's mama heard its cry. After closer inspection she knew it was her little one.
She then gave it something to eat. I was so happy to see their reunion. His eye is on the sparrow and I know He cares for all His creation!
