Eating In The Bag

by Scott
(Fort Worth, TX)

I live in Fort Worth, TX and have a bird feeder in the back yard usually covered in Dove and House Finches.

On occassion a Wren will just avoid the feeder and the crowds and fly right to the back porch where I'm sitting.

He climbs up and down the pillar and then onto the swing where I keep the bag of bird feed.
After a few cautious looks, he jumps to the top of the bag then drops down in.

Seconds later he pops back up out of the bag and takes off.

All too fast for me and my camera.
