Doves At Top Floor

by Lynn
(Dallas, Texas)

Just got back from being out of town and first thing I notice was that my plants were suffering from lack of water.

I live on the top floor of my complex and have several hanging planters. I started the drill of watering everything and open the french doors so I could get to the planter so I could water.

I was watering and notice one egg. At first I wasn't sure what it was because I had not see any Mourning Doves around so I pick it up and panic because I realized that it was an egg.

I carefully put it back and continue to water thinking if I put water on it the mother would not know that I pick it up. (I know what your thinking, I'm crazy), but I really did panic.

I thought that was the end of that egg but guess what? She has been on that egg all day so now my plants might die unless someone tells me that I can water them without upseting her.

The best thing about this is that I'm getting some really great pictures. I'm so excited to see if that egg is going to make it.

I will let you know and I hope to be able to share some pictures with you all soon. I'm not to handy with the computer so I will have to see what I can do. Lynn-Dallas

Watering Planter
by: Lynn-Doves At Top Floor

I was able to water this morning because she was not there. I was careful around the egg just in case she comes back. As soon as I finished the watering she was back. Now I have to figure where to go to put the pictures on this site so you may see them day by day. Have a wonderful week. Lynn
