Bluebirds Take Residence on Porch

by Deanna
(Wildwood, Fl)

My husband built a fancy birdhouse that looks like a barn with small double barndoors for decorative purpose only.

Last year a woodpecker put a hole in the side. This year a pair of bluebirds moved in.

I was suprised they chose to be so close to us, but they go about raising their young as we come and go out the door.

It is a joy to look out the window onto the porch to watch them. They take their baths in a nearby birdbath.
