Baby Orioles

by Dini McBee
(Riviera, TX USA)

The day after hurricane Dolly, I was picking up palm fronds in the yard and found two baby birds on the ground next to a very soggy nest.

I brought them in the house and after caring for them for a few hours decided to google for info on their care.

Your website was very helpful in making me understand they were better off with mother nature even though my intentions were good.

So my husband secured their now dry nest in a tree near where I found them and not fifteen minutes later I spotted a male and female oriole feeding these babies.
